Changing the river
its course and flow
starts with the eddy's
that swirl round my toes
I've shucked my good socks
plopped on the dock
and I watch
as the barges drift by
Changing the seasons
winters cold skies
starts with the sunshine
behind my blue eyes
my arm gives a whip
flat rock is skipped
and I watch
as the barges drift by
Changing my thinking
my wants and needs
starts with the swaying
of the cattail reeds
to skivvies I've stripped
in for a dip
and I wave
as the barges drift by

Nice one - I particularly like, '...the sunshine behind my blue eyes'
